Evergreen 3.13: What You Need to Know
This 2-hour webinar will go through the changes expected in the upcoming 3.13 upgrade. The Upgrade is scheduled for the first weekend in November, beginning on Friday, November 1 and hopefully wrapping up on Sunday, November 3. This webinar will walk through the changes and new features, with a live demonstration and time for questions. Participants will be encouraged to log into the Next server to follow along, and spend the following three weeks testing updates in that environment.
Evergreen Offline
During the upgrade, staff will not be able to log into the live Evergreen Staff Client. Circulation activities don't have to stop though! During the down time, patrons can continue to check out materials from staff logged into Evergreen's Offline Mode. This 1-hour webinar will cover both the process of working within Offline Mode to check out materials, as well as the process of uploading and processing those transactions after the upgrade is complete and Evergreen is live again. The webinar will be presented live twice to ensure as many front-line circulators and administrators can attend prior to the planned upgrade.
Buckets, Baskets, Lists, and Carousels
This 1-hour webinar will cover the basics of working with various containers in Evergreen, from patrons creating book lists in the OPAC to catalogers creating carousels of new materials to show up on a website.
SLAM Training
This 1-hour webinar for System Login Access Managers will be a meeting format to allow discussion. We will cover the basics of staff account management, from creation to deactivation, as well as the general policies, guidelines, and best practices around staff accounts and the various permission levels.
Each month, NC Cardinal will host a virtual drop-in on an Evergreen-related function or topic. Anyone interested in coming and learning more about the topic, asking questions, or sharing their knowledge and experience is welcome.
All drop-ins will start at 12 PM EST and run for 1 hour.
