NC Cardinal Hosted Training Events

October 2025

Offline Training

This 1 hour webinar will train Circulators and Administrators in the use of the Offline Circulation Interface in preparation for Evergreen going down during the upgrade scheduled for early November. Training will include conducting offline checkouts, saving transactions, and uploading transactions into the database after the upgrade concludes.

Audience: Circulators, Circulation Leads, Branch Managers, Assistant Directors, Directors

Upgrade Preview

This 2-hour webinar will go through the changes expected in the upcoming 3.15 upgrade. The Upgrade is scheduled  the begin after closing on the evening of Friday, October 31st. It should be completed over the weekend. This webinar will walk through the changes and new features to expect, with a live demonstration and time for questions. Participants will be encouraged to log into the Next server to follow along.

New Staff Series: Patron Accounts

This 1 hour webinar will cover the basics of patron accounts: Creating new accounts, adding blocks, alerts, and messages, taking action on checked out items, grouping and ungrouping, and working with patron stat cats.

New Features in Evergreen 3.15: The Holdings Editor

The planned upgrade to Evergreen 3.15 will bring some new features and updates to existing functions. This 1 hours webinar will introduce users to the new holdings editor, including new methods for managing item and holdings templates, and an overview of the new interface.

Monthly Training Drop-Ins

Each month, NC Cardinal will host a virtual drop-in on an Evergreen-related function or topic. Anyone interested in coming and learning more about the topic, asking questions, or sharing their knowledge and experience is welcome.

All drop-ins will start at 2 PM EST and run for 1 hour.
