Self-Paced Modules

The NC Cardinal Item Cataloging Training is a series of three modules focused on the functions and workflows of item cataloging. Topics include searching for records, identifying quality records, adding holdings, working with pre-cataloged items, transferring call number and item records, editing call number and item records, working with item buckets, and deleting item records.

The NC Cardinal Bibliographic Cataloging Training is a series of 18 lessons across three modules walking through every step of the Biblipgraphic Cataloging workflow in Evergreen. Topics include importing records, creating new records, and managing records.

Training Exercises

The Item Cataloging Training Exercises cover the process of adding holdings to existing bibliographic records in the NC Cardinal shared catalog. Staff who complete the exercise included in the module should be able to add call numbers and items to a bib record, edit item attributes, and create a holdings template in their live production environment.
