Training Exercises

The Simple Reporter Training Exercises cover the process of creating reports in the Simple Reporter. These exercises are made to be a hands-on walkthrough of the entire workflow, from setting display fields to accessing output. Staff who complete the exercise included in the module should be able to create nd run a Simple Report in their live production environment.

Recordings of Live Training Sessions

Over the course of the 2023-2024 fiscal year, NC Cardinal hosted "Evergreen Reports 101," a series of live training sessions covering the basics of creating and running reports. These webinars are built off previous live reports training. Watch the series via the NC Cardinal youtube playlist.

The individual videos from the most recent series include:

Evergreen Reports 101: Set-Up and Navigation: This 1-hour 35-minute session covers the basics of setting up an account for running reports, including creating folders and setting sharing levels, as well as navigating the NC Cardinal Centralized Reports Templates folder.
Evergreen Reports 101: Deep Dive into Templates: This 1-hour 27-minute session covers the details of creating and cloning templates, including the process of creating a new template, selecting core sources and linking tables, choosing display fields and filters, adding transforms and operators, and a brief description of nullability.

The videos below are short demonstrations of various functions within the reporter. They will help you see each function in action, so that you can replicate the steps when working in the module in Evergreen.
