Creating Templates for Record Imports

On This Page

Catalogers can create, save, and manage templates for future uploads through the Import interface. Templates are workstation-specific and not available on different workstations.

Catalogers can create and save templates for future uploads. To use a template, select it from the drop-down menu in the Apply/Create Form Template field at the top of the Import interface.

Creating Templates

  1. Set the values you want to re-use in the Load MARC Order Records interface, just as you would when starting an import.
  2. Enter a name in the Apply/Create Form Template field.
  3. Select Save As New Template.

Note: Templates are saved at the workstation. If you log in using a different workstation than the one where you save the template, it will not be available, even if it's the same username.

Default Templates

  1. Select your preferred template from the Apply/Create Form Template field.
  2. Then select Mark Template as Default.

Edit Existing Template

  1. Select the template from the Apply/Create Form Template field.
  2. Make your desired changes.
  3. Select Save Template. This will overwrite the previous iteration of the template.

Delete Templates

  1. Select the template from the Apply/Create Form Template field.
  2. Select Delete Template.
